From there, children can hang onto the comfortable, neon-green handle to begin walking or shuffling in the right direction.

When they’re tired of striving for a few steps, kids can sit and play musical notes, sing-along songs, and fiddle with the rolling gears at the walker’s front.

Additionally, the “walking” back-bar is easily removed for on-the-floor play.

Instead of high-flying with Dusty, children can grasp his R/C wings in both hands and pretend to be soaring through the clouds. In turn, Dusty will wind and weave across your youngster’s makeshift runway, wings outstretched and head held high.

Decked in allover orange with a signature sprinkle of fake dust on his tail and wings, Dusty can conquer anything with his new friends.

Founded in the 1930s, our company of conversation has been mass-producing amazing toys for toddlers and youngsters that generations can fondly remember. Kiddos, their parents, their grandparents, and great-grandparents (and even the great-greats) can attribute part of their childhood amusements to the following producers of awesomeness.

Of course, I’m talking about Fisher-Price – because their new playthings are themed and brilliant to delight youngsters of every age.

However, while this toy-making giant has released dozens of newbies, there are a simple trio that really caught my attention. From Bubble Guppies to Little People and Mickey Mouse, there’s something to love for everyone in all 3 of these new Fisher-Price toys:

Fisher-Price Little People Zoo Talkers Animal Sounds Zoo

Zoos are home to numerous animals with enclosures made specifically to match their needs – or what those needs would be in the wild. Polar Bears have abundant blocks of ice to play on, Gorillas are swinging high in their treehouses made of vines, and Lions are gazing from their wild fields.

All of these enclosure concepts are precisely what this set represents – only in miniatures. 3AA batteries will bring each animal to life, and a water-slide and drop-through cave is fun for everyone. Plus, a mini zookeeper keeps them all well-fed and happy.

Disney Mickey Mouse Fly N Slide Clubhouse

M-I-C…K-E-Y…M-O-U-S-E! Parents and grandparents are likely to fondly remember and appreciate the epic theme from a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse that broadcasted decades ago. However, this toy comes from the new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse of modern time for modern kiddos.

The clubhouse is literally a gigantic depiction of Mickey Mouse’s head! And a slide, open-front doors, and an awesome airplane whisk Mickey and his long-time love, Minnie, wherever they wish to go. Additionally, a super-cool telescope allows youngsters to stargaze with their favorite Disney characters.

Fisher-Price Nickelodeon’s Bubble Guppies Swim-sational School

Bubble Guppies have invaded Nickelodeon, and kids love them! These precious, adorable duo are mermaids; however, instead of having their own culture and ways of doing things, they go to school, spend time with their families, and explore the limits of their imaginations – just like real youngsters would do.

This particular toy takes them through their swimming lessons at school! Molly and Gil are rolling, splaying figurines that sing songs about lunch, recess, and an awesome dance party. They can also slide from one level to another on a nifty slide!

New 2014 Batman Toys for Superheroes-In-Training

1/16/2014

Kiddos are excitable and amazing with their seemingly endless zest for life and untainted imaginations. We often find out too late that childhood was really a time to be cherished, and for those kids-at-heart, it was totally okay to take away interests from those childhoods to have through adulthood. Speaking as a mega-fanatic of Batman and all-things heroic, the following new Batman toys should be considered as gifts for those superheroes in training.

I was a major dork for Batman in my youth, and not much has changed! Except now, I can pass on that dorkiness and hope of future heroics to my youngsters.

And the next trio of new Batman toys are what I’m hoping to introduce to my young’uns this year!

Batman the Dark Knight Mr. Potato Head

At less than half the size of a regular Mr. Potato Head, this Batman rendition proves that amazing things can come in smaller-than-average packages.

Mr. Potato Head has endured an awesome makeover to become the caped crusader! Masked and clothed with signature Batman gear, he also prepares to combat imaginary, villainous spuds with a classic, superhero-inspired slingshot.

Mr. Potato Head The Dark Knight Rises Dark Knight Spud Action Figure

Fisher-Price Imaginext Batman Gotham Jail

This playset brings to life the best moments in Gotham City with a top-notch superhero!

Batman is equipped with all of his gadgets to make his villains cringe with distaste… and maybe a little fear.

Kiddos can play out their favorite in-action scenarios from the movies, cartoons, or comic books. Only this time, Batman’s greatest, most worthy opponent could win.

Fisher-Price Imaginext Batman Gotham Jail

Fisher-Price Imaginext DC Super Friends Motorized Batmobile

This vehicle ranks as legendary on the grounds that it is STACKED with buttons that Batman uses to escape bad guys, grab offenders, and journey across the boulevards of Gotham City.

This specific Batmobile is smaller than expected, yet at the same time packs the capable wallop that makes Batman devices wonderful.

It's mechanized! Which means, Batman can safely launch his mobile up to 3-feet in any direction, making him more capable of apprehending and arresting his most notorious villains.

Transformer Toys to Delight 2014's Pre-Teens

1/10/2014

From what I’ve learned, pre-teens can range in age from toddler to 12 – it depends on who you’re asking. So, I use this term loosely in the title to represent the parents who dub their 3-years and up as “pre-teens,” as the following knickknacks are absolutely perfect for all ages (some moreso than others).

Transformer toys 2014 aren’t just for fanatics of the decades-old franchise. Now, they’re for kiddos that have never seen the films or read the books, but may be inspired to do so after playing with these awesome gadgets.

They transform effortlessly from one thing to another, each more unique than the last, and there are 3 that really stand out as being super-cool.

Transformers Generations Titan Class Metroplex (with Autobot Scamper)

This 3-in-1 Transformers figurine goes by various names, but the most popular are Metroplex (when combined) and Scamper (when divided).

He transforms effortlessly from robotic to vehicular forms, and each of the 3 parts are also individual Transformers that can convert into their own automobiles.

This Autobot stands at 2-feet tall, clocking in as the tallest in the series – and he features lights and sounds with a firing missile launcher and heroic catchphrases. He’s a hardcore protector with the doom of Decepticon on his metallic mind!

Transformers Generations Titan Class Metroplex with Autobot Scamper Figure

Transformers Rescue Bots Energize Optimus Prime

The classic leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime is the tried-and-true Transformers favorite! And now he’s toddler-size and easily convertible for a youngster’s small hands.

He looks mechanical, but the Energize version is all durable rubber with chunky everything.

When transformed, Optimus is a massive truck with a rescue-saw for saving innocent civilians from the damaging effects of Decepticon scum.

The ultra-durable materials also offer a sturdy toy for your tots (ages 3 and up) to chew on without risk of injury!

Playskool Heroes Transformers Rescue Bots Energize Optimus Prime Figure

Transformers Rescue Bots Energize Heatwave the Fire-Bot

One of the best, and my personal favorite out of all the Transformers!

His transformation takes him through the motions of mechanical honey-bee to rolling bulldozer with a jackhammer. For toddlers, he’s chunkier and carries less pieces, making him prone to being chewed on when teething rolls around. However, he’s 100% safe, comprised of durable rubber that’s resistant to the average wear-and-tear of an active childhood.

Plus, he’s the perfect bedtime buddy for after-school naps. And he’d make a great show-and-tell guest during a preschooler’s or Kindergartener’s activity time!

Themed LEGO Sets - Star Wars

1/10/2014

The most popular themed LEGO sets available right now revolve around a more notable franchise. One that has been around for decades, turning into a focal point for Comic Cons, specific conventions, and Cosplay. Can you guess?

Star Wars!

This epic series has combined with LEGO over the last year to comprise an entire line-up of awesome sets for collectors and kiddos. While the going rate for these new LEGO Star Wars sets is usually 9 years of age, there’s really no reason why adult collectors and SW enthusiasts should miss out.

Each set is buildable, stackable, and flourishing with hundreds of put-together pieces in realistic Star Wars colors. They’ll also appear to be mini-replicas when the stacking, building, and admiring is done.

And a trio of the best are:

LEGO Star Wars Jabba’s Sail Barge

This scene from the films is one of legendary awesome! In all his gluttonous glory, Jabba the Hutt has just captured the beautiful Princess Leia and mechanized R2-D2. They’re imprisoned on the massive monster’s barge, floating through intergalactic deserts at warp-speed.

Builders can recreate the scene, complete with mini-figurines of key characters, with over 800 pieces. Ranging in tedious to enormous, each block is a stepping stone to completing the barge, and finally using imagination to bring the whole scenario to life.

LEGO Star Wars Jabbas Sail Barge

LEGO Star Wars Homing Spider Droid

In my humble opinion, spiders are creepy – even mechanical ones. But this one was pretty cool in the movie – I must admit. Kiddies and collectors can piece together a recreated version of the Spider Droid that wreaked havoc in the Battle of Heonosis in Attack of the Clones.

The joints of the creature’s legs are fully functional, and his head rotates at a full 360-degrees to star down enemies at all angles. Also equipped are, of course, the 4 mini-figurine fighters to reenact the bloodshed of Episode II’s battlefield.

LEGO Star Wars Homing Spider Droid 75016

LEGO Star Wars Duel on Geonosis

In this rendition of a scene favorite, Yoda is attempting to thwart Count Dooku’s evil plans for the Death Star.

Equipped with a glowing laser-saber and the lair of Episode II, these characters can battle to the end. However, first and foremost, their scene must be built from 390 pieces of varying sizes and colors.

When complete, collectors and kids will have the epic battlefield where a duel to outlast ages took place.
